All the Ways We Can Help You Become a Better Cook.

The rest of the best!

The rest of the best!

By now you know we have a series of newsletters designed to help you get the most out of Simply Recipes. In addition to our emails focused on vegan, gluten-free, low-carb, and meat-free cooking, we also have newsletters designed to meet you wherever you are in your cooking life.

Here's what you'll see when you sign up for one of these specialty newsletters:

MEAL PLANNING

Hard-core meal planner or just curious about it? We've got ideas for both. In this newsletter we'll share weekly meal plans based around seasonal ingredients or pantry staples, as well as mini meal plans to help you use up leftovers. We may also include tips like 10 things to know if you’re a first-time meal planner (good reminders for experienced meal planners, too!).

HEALTHY EATING

There is no one-size-fits-all definition of healthy eating, other than perhaps Michael Pollan's creed to eat food, not too much, mostly plants. For the purposes of this newsletter, we’ll highlight recipes composed of ingredients we think make for a balanced, healthy diet: fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, beans, lean proteins like eggs, fish, and chicken, and healthy fats like avocados, nuts, olive oil. (We’ll lay low on dairy, red meat, and refined carbohydrates for this one!)

SEASONAL AND HOLIDAY EATING

Christmas cookies. Easter ham. 4th of July barbeque. Thanksgiving, peopleThis is the newsletter that will guide you through seasonal bounty and the year’s biggest gathering events. We might share our best recipes for what to do with all those summer tomatoes, or help you nail Thanksgiving with our Thanksgiving Menu Planner.

FOR THE COOK WITH KIDS

In this newsletter we'll share the latest from our Eat Your Food! Column, written by home cook and father-of-two Nick Evans. We’ll also feature favorite quick and easy (and delicious and healthy!) weeknight meals, as well as favorite treats for when you need to bring the magic for your kid’s birthday party, school bake sale, Teacher Appreciation Day, etc.

FOR THE NEW COOK

Think of this newsletter as Cooking 101. We’ll share techniques like how to hold a chef’s knife, how to steam broccoli, and how to caramelize onions. We’ll give you the lowdown on how to store fresh herbs like parsley and cilantro and the best way to clean a cast iron pan. No need to be afraid, friends. Anyone can learn to cook!

FOR THE ADVENTUROUS COOK

Ready to go next level? This newsletter is for the cook ready to expand their horizons and take on more interesting or complicated recipes, like Tiramisu, homemade pasta, paella, or maybe one of these Vietnamese recipes

FOR THE BUDGET-MINDED COOK

This is the newsletter for when you want to make the most of basic grocery store ingredients and pantry staples. We’ll share recipes for big batch cooking and budget family meals (Shepherd's Pie and Tuna Burgers with Dill Olive Mayo are two favorites), as well as smart shopping tips and other “use it up” suggestions.

FOR HELPFUL COOKING TIPS AND GUIDES

What is the deal with all the different kinds of salt?” “How can I get crispy waffles?” “How in the world do I truss a chicken?” Answers to all these and more in our tips and guides newsletter!

FOR INSPIRATION AND OTHER FUN STUFF

This is our grab bag of newsletters! In here you’ll find things like our Friday Buzz, cookbook guides, gift guides, and fun recipes like these Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos (shown at the top of this email). We’ll switch things up and keep it interesting!
